•Protect your nails from harsh chemicals, therefore, use rubber gloves while working with detergents.
•Keeping nails clean and dry. This helps to keep bacteria and other infectious organisms from collecting under the nail.
•Unhealthy habits of biting nails also lead to unhygienic nails and spoil the look of the hands. So, if you are prone it, give it up!
•Avoid tobacco as nails of tobacco smokers get discolored.
